Diana Avila, Legal Secretary

Diana Avila is a bilingual Legal Secretary at Asghar Law with a background in immigration law and a personal connection to the immigrant experience. Originally from Honduras, Diana grew up in Indiana before relocating to Florida. As a DACA recipient herself, she understands firsthand the uncertainty, opportunity, and significance that immigration status can have on a person’s life and future.

Her own experiences have given Diana a genuine appreciation for the individuals and families navigating the immigration process. She understands that behind every case is a person hoping for stability, opportunity, and the ability to build a better future for themselves and their loved ones.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Diana helps support the firm’s clients and legal team while ensuring that clients feel welcomed, informed, and cared for throughout their experience with Asghar Law. She values clear communication, organization, and treating every client with patience and respect.

For Diana, working in immigration law is especially meaningful because it allows her to contribute to a community and area of law that have played an important role in her own life. She takes pride in being part of a team that helps individuals and families move forward during some of the most important and uncertain moments of their lives.

Outside of the office, Diana enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new restaurants and places, and expressing her creativity through design and stationery. She also enjoys learning new skills, taking on creative projects, and discovering new experiences throughout Florida.
